Latin America. The Latin American section of the NFPA calls on all manufacturers of fire detection and extinguishing systems to collaborate in the activities that the section carries out in the territory, in order to exchange ideas and knowledge and, together, promote the adoption of stricter standards on the mandatory installation of fire systems in Latin America.Yosti Mendez, secretary of the Latin American section of the NFPA, assures that much progress has been made on this issue of legislation in the region, however, it is important that manufacturers and their regional managers join the work carried out by the 12 members of the section, as well as the NFPA Regional Chapters in each country.
