Paraguay. The National Customs Directorate of Ciudad del Este, Encarnación and Puerto Falcón will place special cameras at customs checkpoints before the end of 2008. The purpose of the authorities in installing these security solutions is to improve surveillance on the movement of vehicles, containers and people who move through these places, in addition to allowing an observation on the task carried out by customs officials and prevent smuggling. Such cameras could have a long-distance control system.
