Since the new analog and digital video surveillance system was installed, customers, employees and assets at five Bank of New Jersey locations are the most protected. Multiple cameras were placed inside and outside the buildings in order to deter criminals, capture images for atM transaction review, and serve as constant reminders to customers of how the entity responsibly views their safety. All this system has in the middle with toshiba Surveillix ® EVR digital video recorders. The Bank of New Jersey (AMEX: BKJ), was founded as a commercial bank that offers a traditional range of products and services to meet the deposit and credit needs of individual customers, small businesses and professionals in the local market. In order to meet the security requirements of the headquarters and its four newly built branches, Bergen Protective Systems of Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey was contracted.
Bergen Protective Systems installed high-resolution color cameras inside each bank location, which along with day/night and outdoor cameras continuously monitor parking lots, the transaction unit and outdoor ATMs. Authorized bank personnel can live monitor the video recorded on the PC linked to the bank's LAN. This hybrid solution combines analog and digital technology, offering a cost-effective and flexible alternative to traditional CLOSED Circuit Television or IP networks.
For the Bank of New Jersey facility, 32 channel versions of the EVR were deployed. These drives are characterized by having 4 TB hard disk drives capable of storing several months of video from the more than 20 cameras installed in each place. The EVR can record a maximum of 480 frames per second in resolutions as high as 720 x 480, enabling you not to miss any critical detail. It also features one of the industry's most redundant fault-tolerant designs, replaceable dual power supply field, maximum dynamic airflow, internal RAID 5 compatibility, and upgradeable hard drives.
Joseph F. Cioffi, III, vice-president of Bergen Protective Systems, explained that the high resolution of analog cameras allows the capture of details as small as license plates and ATM transactions, and the use of the Toshiba EVR ensures that these details are recorded in digital files that can be controlled, analyzed or shared with the police.
The Surveillix Toshiba® can support a large volume cameras while offering excellent image quality and PTZ remote control. Its software is characterized by its simplicity, in addition the advanced search function allows the identification of a specific event in a matter of seconds.
Cioffi assures that "the system has proven to be very effective, adding another layer of security to banking operations by cost-effectively covering more areas. We are very pleased with EVR, as well as the service Toshiba has provided us."
