Mexico. With high-resolution smart cameras, the Secretariat of Public Security of Durango seeks to deal with the criminal acts that happen daily in the city. 53 camcorders are part of the state's Sentinel program.
At present, the latest works of installation of the infrastructure are being done to put into operation the cameras, which among other novelties, will allow to capture accurate images of car license plates and faces of passers-by, with which the control will be more effective. The system will be a reality in mid-April. The authorities will implement the operation in the towns near Durango.
