El Salvador. Salvadoran engineer Juan Francisco Hernández has invented the first remote control with cell phone (CRCTC). Unlike other controls on the market, this device allows you to define what function the control will execute: turn off a car, close windows, turn on an alarm, or close doors and turn on lights of a premises. In addition, it can be operated from any phone anywhere in the world, activating a chip installed in the protected place. The device is worth $250 and requires a semi-annual fee of $1.5 to maintain the SIM card. Since the device works based on missed calls, these are not charged by the telephone operators. Although the inventor has received offers from distributors in Costa Rica, Germany and Taiwan, he told a local newspaper that he has received little support from his country's government.
