According to AMESIS data, in Mexico there are approximately 250 companies dedicated to the supply of tracking solutions, however, not all have support, experience, technological support and trained personnel, and of the more than 10 thousand private security companies that also offer the service, only 10% manage investments in technology, training aimed at customer needs and analysis of responsibilities and consulting.
Although the market grows annually close to 300%, it is governed by a price war that encourages unfair competition. According to UNESCO, 4% of GDP should be allocated to crime prevention and security policies, but in Mexico the total budget in this area barely reaches 1%, and 8% of the items sold in the informal market are the product of theft from cargo transport.
