"With the aim of promoting several concepts for companies that develop satellite technology and intelligence, as well as systems for the protection of goods in transit (custody)," the Mexican Association of Security and Satellite Industry Companies, A.C., was founded, according to the presentation of its president, Ricardo Bustamante. AMESIS will focus on generating reliable statistics on the number of equipment installed, types of technology, coverage, target markets and types of protection, with the support of renowned specialists in satellite tracking and private security, and partnerships with all three levels of government. In education, the association already works with universities and specialized institutes, with producers of GPS equipment, distributors and insurers. Additionally, it will represent, support and guide the sector in the establishment of regulations on vehicle location services. AMESIS is born for the Mexican satellite security industry
