Video surveillance system in Durango

Mexico. Last September, the governor of the state of Durango, Ismael, Hernández Deras, began the implementation of the state video surveillance system Centinela which has an approximate investment of 25 million pesos in the entirety of the first stage.

Likewise, the municipal president Jorge Herrera Caldera, and the state president, signed an agreement in which the municipal monitoring system (SIMMON) will join the Centinela project, in order to strengthen the state's video surveillance system.

Hernández said that Durango is one of the few states in the country that has 100 surveillance cameras which were acquired through the State Public Security Fund.

The Sentinel will be installed in the municipalities of El Mezquital, Santiago Papasquiaro, Lerdo and El Salto, which has already begun actions in Gómez Palacio and now the installation begins in Durango.
