The breathtaking ocean view of San Diego's La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club isn't new to travelers from every corner. The club, founded more than 75 years ago, has established itself as the first destination for a short or long holiday. Currently, the Club offers a multitude of relaxation options such as swimming pools, tennis courts, golf, dining service, children's recreation, beach apartments and conference facilities.
For more than 15 years, ACS Cable Systems has been supporting La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club's cable infrastructure, successfully connecting the Club's network with cutting-edge technologies.
The Club sought to integrate a security system into its network. The choice was easy: a very advanced cable network only supports equally advanced surveillance technologies. ACS became the catalyst that combined Hikvision's technologies with its own technology in order to develop a world-class security system backed by the powerful network implemented at the Club.

Fun and excitement!
Currently, closed-circuit television (CCTV) technologies are frequent installations in many large organizations. The fundamental challenge in the project of La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is twofold.
On the one hand, it must have the capacity to cover its immense facilities, which is by no means an easy task. On the other hand, this system must be seamlessly integrated with the ACS cable network.
Basically, the old pc analog digital video recorders were preserved and upgraded to a built-in video recorder, the standalone digital video recorder, model DS-9116HFI-S, from Hikvision, which allows you to get the most out of the existing analog system.
It allows users to get superior performance in terms of system stability and recording capability, compared to PC digital video recorder. Specifically, the digital VCR offers three independent local video outputs (VGA, MAIN, and AUX video/audio output), supports up to 32 users simultaneously, and has advanced motion detection features.
The system allows easy backup to a USB drive and optical discs, and supports up to 8 SATA hard drives. These backups are critical for reviewing past activities and investigations, thus ensuring that nothing goes unnoticed. While the human eye may stop perceiving a key event, the recordings are easy to examine.
Meanwhile, two Hikvision security cameras were installed on the roofs to cover the extensive surface. The DS-2CD7153-E mini dome offers a maximum resolution of up to 2 megapixels, with 15 frames per second, at a resolution of 1600 x 1200. It also offers real-time video recording in high definition (720P).
The DS-2CD752MF-(I)FB(H) network cameras are vandal-proof. They have a size of 160mm by 134.5mm and have a resolution of 1600 x 1200. They also offer 101°-30.4° wide-angle display to ensure nothing escapes your vision.
Finally, the iVMS 2000 client software unifies everything, managing different devices, including HD cameras and digital video recorders, which allows a true unification between the HD digital surveillance system and the analog system.
Users not only benefit from a wider viewing range, with high-definition images, but also from the economics of analog equipment. Likewise, the software also has powerful functions such as multi-direct video, playback, alarm events, remote configuration and multi-level user management, etc.
In the shade under the sun
Following the introduction of Hikvision, La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club saw a marked improvement in its security system. The new IP cameras allowed security personnel to have complete viewing and absolute control from a single workstation using the iVMS-4000 remote client software.
Images from the cameras were sent in real time and recorded for further investigation, should it be necessary. The data integrity of its old system was maintained and the new scalable system will serve the Club for many years to come.
