Mexico. In the town of Cuautla, in the state of Morelos, 16 video surveillance cameras will be installed in order to monitor different sites in the city, in addition to deterring and locating criminals.
The protection systems will be located in avenues and mass meeting points of the town.
The Secretary of Municipal Public Security, Oswaldo Sánchez, explained that the installation of the cameras, which was carried out on the most central roads where thousands of vehicles concur, as well as in the most strategic places, will provide tranquility to citizens, since it will have protection 24 hours a day, seven days a week in different places of the town.
Through security solutions, the municipal administration seeks to locate criminals, as well as monitor the city in case of an incident, especially at night. Additionally, these cameras will be a great support for the Preventive and Traffic Police because they will help to obtain better security results.
With the handling of sensitive information, and the constant use of services based on computer systems hosted or not in the cloud, the need to develop professional and work activity within a safe environment is becoming increasingly palpable in companies of any size.
For this reason we interviewed Claudio Caracciolo, information security specialist with international certifications, passionate about the techniques and methodologies of Ethical Hacking, defense techniques and forensic analysis and author of the book "Ethical Hacking, a methodological approach for professionals", among many other skills.
While it is remarkable the speed with which Cloud Computing models are increasingly adopted by companies of various sizes in their effort to adapt to the demands of the current market, it is true that this growth would be more accelerated and sustained if the uncertainties that arise around the adoption of a new service model (as it is today Cloud) were cleared a priori.
It seems convenient then to propose some basic recommendations for the choice of the model to be applied, as well as the elimination of certain doubts that inevitably arise when choosing the service model according to each particular company.
According to ISO 27001, the classification of information is one of the first steps to take into account when building a security plan.
Among the previous steps are almost only the formation of a safety committee, the highest body of authority in this regard, and a general security policy, which guarantees the commitment of senior management or management in the creation of the plan.
The classification of information will allow us to determine mainly the way in which we will protect it, so it is not a minor issue.
