China, the largest producer of virtual threats
According to kaspersky Lab's study, China is responsible for 22% of online threats, followed by the Russian Federation with 17% and the United States ranks third with 10%, ahead of India, which contributes 4% of digital pollution (a term coined by the security company).
In Russia , botnet activity wins the game, most banking Trojans are generated in Latin America, and gaming malware in China, according to David Emm, of Kaspersky Lab's research team, who mentions that the regions specialize in different types of malicious software.
