International. A new report prepared by Panda Labs highlights that adware, a virus whose objective is to fill the user screen with advertising, has already become the main threat to computers during the first quarter of 2008 with 28.58 percent of computer infections throughout these first three months of the year. Trojan viruses with 25.6 percent and worms with 9.94 percent, are other forms of computer attacks with a high number of incidents.
The technical director of Pandalabs, Luis Corrons, says that this increase in viruses demonstrates the directed tendency to create "new specimens in a short time". In this way, hackers make it difficult to detect them by not being able to be identified by security solutions.
