McAfee Avert Labs studied global malware trends and published them in a report they called "One Internet, Many Words." It is based on the collection of data from McAfee security experts and examines the globalization of threats, as well as those specific to each country and region.
One of the most relevant topics of the publication is that the authors of sophisticated malware have increased specific attacks in countries, languages, companies and software. In the same way, the document reveals that cybercriminals are increasingly accustomed to cultural differences, so they are able to adapt their attacks to social engineering.
