Social networks will be the target of attacks
Trojans and botnets will be the tools they will use for attacks and the advantages of HTML 5 will be leveraged to create emerging threats.
Jeff Green, senior vice president of McAfee Labs, explained that currently emerging threats are due to the rise and growth of social networks, and the malicious use of popular applications and the most advanced techniques of criminals.
The preferred social networks to distribute the threats will be Facebook and Twitter through the third-party applications on these sites, since you are changing the mode of action of the criminals by allowing them to use new technologies and new open access points to the Internet (hot spots) to develop their malicious activities.
Banking Trojans will also continue to make their own, as in 2009 they showed new tactics; likewise, attachments that introduce malware will increase their quantity and have greater sophistication.
