More Security: an ideal life

Wilfredi Amaya - More SecurityColombia. More Security Ltda is a Colombian company that was born in 2008 and was legally constituted in order to carry out the design, installation and maintenance of security systems by technological means, communications and telemetry. The company is now part of the ConsorcioTecPurchasing Group.

However, it can be said that their career began in 2002 when, through a family business model, they worked under the figure of contractors for the firm Colescurity S.A, absorbed by the multinational G4S, and today known as G4S Technology, they also worked for other companies in the sector such as Robotec, Integra Security System, Zebra Electronica, Voxcom among others of the time.

The leader of this initiative is Eng. Wilfredi Amaya, Director of the integrating company and who states that in these almost 13 years of uninterrupted operation "we have had the opportunity to reach hundreds of customers in the public and private sector and our services have been well used by many companies, homes and businesses that thanks to the implementation of security systems have benefited protecting the assets and integrity of people that make them up. Others have managed to optimize their communications, self-management and telemeasurement processes thanks to tailor-made solutions. In all these years there have been many experiences, mostly very good, although as in any organization there have been difficulties that we have always been able to overcome and take advantage of for the growth of our organization. "

In the progress of this company, its work focused on the end customer stands out, with brand certifications and alliances with large manufacturers that allows them to offer professional solutions and with a high cost benefit factor. In addition, the company has also been working on the development of its own Telemetry and Communications equipment, being recognized by the Government program called "Compra lo Nuestro", which aims to increase the internal consumption of Colombian products and facilitate the connection between suppliers and buyers to boost the national industry.

An ideal of life
More Security represents for Wilfredi "the ideal of my life". The experience that allowed him to have worked as a technician in companies in the sector allowed him to know more about the business and understand its dynamics. "Being a leader of my own venture gave me the privilege of uniting wills and fighting for common dreams with others who like me knew the business, but for one reason or another did not dare to consolidate a company. At first, and against all odds, we overcame the barrier of the first two years because we were a young company with many ideas but little capital and minimal external support. However, over the years we found a point of equilibrium and managed to overcome the barrier of self-sustainability. Undertaking in search of direct clients was the most difficult task, being contractors guaranteed a stable cash flow but did not allow us to grow, so for just over 4 years, and with a briefcase in hand I gave myself the task of bringing direct customers and with the flag that has always accompanied us: Quality. We made 'voice to voice' our marketing strategy and this became the main source of business," said the Director of the integrating firm.

More Security has understood the importance of being part of a Purchasing Group such as ConsorcioTec, because it gives you the possibility to interact with important factories in the industry and get products with greater ease.

The leader of More Security adds that "in my opinion as an entrepreneur it is motivating that there are organizations that unionize companies with common purposes and that also put us in front of recognized factories that we always know, but that due to their distribution model were difficult to access for "small" consumers. In addition, the fact of obtaining re-entry for purchases of the allies is an incentive to retain with those brands and sell more".

Your industry expectations
Wilfredi considers safety to be an important aspect of people's lives and that was one of the reasons why this sector may not have been hit as hard as others during the pandemic. By the end of 2021, the engineer expects a significant recovery of the market.

"Already for this year the security business is returning to the normality to which we were accustomed and even today we perceive a slight uptick due to the boom in everything related to virtuality. I think it's because a lot of people who were apathetic to technology during the pandemic had that contact that was needed to make it relevant in their lives, and now they trust more in the things that allow them to have remote control of their needs, such as the use of cameras or alarms from their mobile phones, the possibility of self-managing their public services, controlling their lights and other systems remotely, etc," concluded our guest.

ConsorcioTec is the space in which integrators have the opportunity to receive refunds from suppliers for purchases made through the network, which are based on the total volume of purchases made through the Preferred Suppliers of the group.
