International. Honeywell and Idemia announced a strategic alliance that integrates Honeywell's building management and security systems with Idemia's biometrics-based access control systems to create more efficient, secure and frictionless buildings.
The Honeywell and Idemia alliance aims to design solutions that allow occupants to easily and safely interact with a building without contact, from vehicle recognition in the parking lot and elevator robocalls to biometric access and custom conference room configuration. With a focus on security and data privacy, these next-generation solutions will provide occupants with a safer, more efficient and enjoyable experience that will help building owners attract tenants.
"We recognize that our customers need to deliver business outcomes, such as managing complex security requirements and providing healthier, more productive environments. By working with Idemia, we will create a smart building ecosystem that better addresses our clients' key challenges and drives desired outcomes. Whether it's a commercial office building, a hospital or an airport, we have the ability to change the way people experience and interact with buildings for the better," said Manish Sharma, vice president, chief technology officer and chief product officer, Honeywell Building Technologies.
"We look forward to expanding our long-standing relationship with Honeywell to deliver greater value to our customers with more integrated solutions that make the construction experience smoother. The ability of our technology to easily integrate with Honeywell's safety and security systems will provide building owners and operators with more information and control to create more efficient buildings, while prioritizing the occupant experience," said Matt Cole, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, Secure Business Transactions Division, Idemia.
Honeywell and Idemia said they will work together to deliver more powerful integrations through the creation of aligned products and joint product roadmaps. The integrated offerings will enable building operators to respond quickly and effectively to alarms or incidents by providing an incident workflow package that enables standard operating procedures (SOPs) to be configured, reducing compliance exceptions, security risks and response times.
