International. The M73, Mobotix's new camera based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), received the SySS IT security certificate. After completing multiple tests, SySS GmbH now certifies that the brand's entire series of IoT cameras has a particularly high level of cybersecurity.
In addition to the M73, the M16, which represents the entire Mx6 series, also earned the SySS certificate. This is a continuation of the Mobotix Cactus concept, which represents a reliable and complete protection of the video system against hacker attacks.
In several scenarios, the hardware and software components of the M73 were subjected to simulated state-of-the-art hacker attacks. The penetration evaluators at SySS GmbH are very familiar with attack methods in IT systems and are investigating new ways and means to prevent intrusion into digital infrastructures. With this extensive knowledge, SySS GmbH is recognized in the penetration testing market in Germany as they assess IT landscapes, looking for common and unique weaknesses and other security vulnerabilities.
"With the SySS certification of our new M73 video system, we are demonstrating that Mobotix continually strives to obtain the best possible cybersecurity for all of our camera series," emphasizes Mobotix CEO Thomas Lausten. "Our Mx6 range is the first choice for many of our customers. The robustness and durability of the energy-saving system is in line with the classic Mobotix DNA and is ONVIF- meets the decentralized approach. The SySS certification of the new and open Mobotix 7 platform and the M73 demonstrates that we have achieved the goal of increased data security and cybersecurity even with our most powerful camera series," says Lausten. This also applies to certified applications that are integrated into the firmware, which greatly extend the modularity of our systems."
