Mexico. Ricardo Carrasco is the current director of the security systems integrator company, Fouet de México. The guest tells us that he came to the industry by chance: in '92 he started with two other students with the distribution of an access control line. Later, in the year 96 he was recommended to maintain the CCTV system of the Customs of Mexico, and with his professionalism, he managed to convince them to attend 70% of the customs for several years.
"The next big contract was with a Telecom company, one day they summoned me to review their project, so we did and I suggested eliminating several automatic doors, it saved the company a good amount of money although with whom I was arguing did not yield; The meeting ended and on the way home they call me to return, when I entered I found out that I discussed that savings with the VP and he told me: 'you are a very bad salesman but a very good advisor and it is the type of people we need'. They gave us a contract at the national level," Ricardo said.
When asked about the meaning of leading Fouet, our guest highlights that in addition to the good quality of life he has, there is a satisfaction "to know that we create quality jobs with benefits and salary above the average in Mexico; curiously, one of the most applauded benefits is the conclusion of work at 5:00 p.m. In Fouet we are looking for people with a good attitude who want to develop their skills, the skills are learned".
He says that his biggest challenge is to reinvent himself every day and adapt to the new demands of the market, so that these challenges are seen as an opportunity to improve his processes, as collaborators and as people.
On his arrival at ConsorcioTec™, Ricardo commented that "it makes me an excellent idea, it is a win-win for all involved, since traditionally LATAM is a very small slice in the global sales of our segment, but together we can access lower commercial conditions, establish closer links with manufacturers and eventually it will be an additional differentiator".

Finally, Ricardo gave his forecasts for the remainder of 2020, considering that "the next panorama is uncertain, although new acquisitions have been opened to address the health emergency, some projects are stopped, however, in the medium term we will have to return to operate in a similar way to that of 2019 and now we will have new opportunities to be creative and offer solutions that adapt to the new normal".
