International. Hikvision recently hosted the second AI Cloud 'Forming Intelligence' summit, at the Whitehorse Lake International Exhibition Center in Hangzhou, China.
Under the theme of 'Data Enrichment with AI', the summit served as a platform for partners in the AI Cloud ecosystem to exchange knowledge on cutting-edge technologies and applications of AI and big data. The summit featured a main forum and four sub-forums focused on Finance, Commerce, Utilities and Smart City Governance. More than three thousand participants attended, including customers, industry leaders, academic experts and Hikvision partners.
Vision of the Future: Fusion of Intelligent IoT and Information Networks
One of the most important topics covered at the conference was how Hikvision's AI Cloud platform can support the integration of data from computer networks and IoT to drive the future development of new intelligent applications. The development of a computing architecture that unites cloud and edge computing, as well as a data architecture that allows the integration of intelligent IoT data and the information network, was discussed.
"We believe that, as a fusion platform, the AI Cloud will be able to support our customers in their efforts to unlock the full potential of AI and IoT," said Yangzhong Hu, CEO of Hikvision, during his speech at the main forum. "Ubiquitous intelligence will be the new normal of the AI era, and intelligent applications and data generation will be the engine."
Hikvision's AI Cloud has a state-of-the-art architecture designed to enable collaboration between partners through edge computing, applications for different industries, service platforms, standard systems, and much more. As an example of this, Hikvision demonstrated how the launch of its AI algorithm training system has allowed its partners to easily train algorithms for customers' specific application needs and implementation.
With a digitized exhibition area of six thousand square meters, Hikvision and its ecosystem partners also presented versatile AI solutions: Smart Stores, Smart Campuses, Smart Financial Services, Smart Buildings, Smart Agriculture and more. Also presented were Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS): Smart Buses, Smart Roads, Smart Airports and Smart Rail Systems, designed to increase passenger safety and improve travel quality.
AI applications to empower industrial users
In the four sub-forums held on the second day, end users from different markets exchanged ideas and shared cases of collaboration in the implementation of Hikvision and AI. At the trade forum, partners from the retail, energy, logistics and property management sectors explored how artificial intelligence can increase business acumen and transform the functioning of businesses.
In Smart City Governance, authorities from different cities in China shared successful AI applications, such as how police solutions help identify traffic violations and reduce the number of injuries and deaths. By merging video information with other systems and algorithms, traffic big data can be visualized on city maps to guide traffic and improve urban transportation.
In the one dedicated to finance, financial institutions such as the Construction Bank of China and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China exposed their digitized transformation with the incorporation of AI in banking security and management and showed how AI-based big data is an essential component of this process.
While the Public Services forum focused on how AI technology can support the improvement of public service management. In other sessions, Hikvision partners presented AI applications for distance education, smart classrooms, campus safety, and improving learning environments.
