Latin America. SoftGuard has developed a mobile application for sending SMS to notify events to the client, leaving aside hardware modems.
For many years, SMS was the preferred avenue for notifying the customer of events. Openings, closings and alarms of all kinds. This functionality required the use of hardware equipment, specifically cellular modems, which connected by serial or USB to the computer that acts as a communications server in SoftGuard, allowed a spool of SMS messages to end users.
We have had over time experiences with many manufacturers of these modems, with a high rate of problems derived from their inappropriate functionality or due to quality and performance problems.
Today, almost all SMS notifications are being replaced with the new PUSH technology that SoftGuard has pioneered from its SmartPanics APP.
Regardless of this mass migration to PUSH, we have worked something new for companies that continue to need to send SMS and no longer rely on a hardware modem.
It is a new APP, called SmartSMS, which operates on a smartphone docked in the Central Receiver and that makes an orderly spool of SMS messages, operating directly with the SoftGuard database.
The APP is now operational and ready to be marketed.
