HID Global Continues expansion of seos ecosystem

International. HID Global continues to expand the Seos International ecosystem. HID Global announced the addition of new strategic partners to the company's Enterprise Application Partners program in the third quarter of 2014, further expanding the ecosystem of available products powered by award-winning Seos technology.

"Our application partners are very excited about the possibilities offered by Seos technology as a common standard to provide privacy and confidence in the communication of secure identification data on cards, smartphones and wearable devices," said Kerry Reid, Vice President of Integrated Solutions at HID Global. "At the close of the quarter, there are ten additional seos-enabled enterprise products and applications, capable of recognizing and relying on secure HID Global IDs."

The ecosystem of seos-powered enterprise applications encompasses solutions for a wide range of applications that is on the rise, such as PC login and authentication to computer systems and cloud applications, secure print job collection, cashless payments for points of sale and automated vending, building access, opening of door locks, access to elevators, access to parking lots and control of attendance and working time.

The following partners became part of the Seos ecosystem in the third quarter of 2014:

- Publicidad -

- Jetmobile, a company that has combined its SecureJet solution for virtual desktop infrastructures (VDI), BYOD (bring your own device) environments, and secure serverless printing, strong authentication, and cost reduction with HID Global's family of public key infrastructure (PKI) smart cards and dual-frequency multi-technology access control readers, that work with Seos technology.

- Ricoh China, the company that offers its customers a wide variety of solutions for authentication in secure printing.

Jetmobile Enterprise's SecureJet Enterprise leverages the features of HID Global's PKI smart cards and contactless cards: "Our SecureJet Enterprise solution powered by seos, from multiple vendors, enables large enterprises to ensure that scanned and printed documents do not fall into the wrong hands and allows them to reduce costs, whether documents come from a PC, a multifunction printer, mobile device, or server.

It enables strong authentication, print and email encryption with PKI, secure printing in BYOD environments, and rules-based printing for printers and multifunctional devices of all brands," said Jean-Francois d'Estalenx, CEO of Jetmobile.

"Seos' high-security technology is a critical part of Jetmobile's secure printing offerings for vertical industries around the world, such as banks and insurers, oil and gas, the public sector, healthcare and printing solutions with SAP." "For many years Ricoh China has been an ally of HID Global in secure print authentication solutions compatible with color and black and white multifunction printers, in our line of MP and MPC series printers," said Michael Ke, Technology Center Manager of Ricoh China Co.'s Sales Strategy Department. Ltd.

"We have worked closely together to help our customers control document issuance through a cost-effective, hardware-free system that allows them to simultaneously manage access to copiers and printers, manage account codes, track usage, increase user mobility and minimize waste. By incorporating Seos technology into our solutions, our customers now also benefit from the interoperability and enhanced security of this important new open standard for credential technology."

Seos technology has been adopted by HID Global as a standard for establishing private and trusted communications in secure identifications. Seos technology does not rely on chips, allowing it to be incorporated into different hardware devices from different manufacturers. A secure HID Global ID, including a secure identity object (SIO®), can be uploaded to a Seos-powered card at the time of manufacture or can be incorporated into a Seos-powered phone via HID Mobile Access. HID Global's secure IDs provide an additional level of trust, superior to the protection offered by the card or phone to which they are incorporated.
