Mexico. In the coming years, security requirements for Mexican airport operators will increase significantly. There are more and more passengers and with it the areas that will be categorized as critical, fundamentally access control and the protection of the people who use the facilities. Airports will therefore require increasingly fast and secure access controls.
Operators seek to maximize the flow of people passing through their terminals while maintaining a high level of security. For their part, architects and planning teams constantly strive to offer an open, attractive and welcoming space. In line with these needs, Kaba has extensive experience in qualified solutions and services for access control and security at airports around the world.
In Mexico, Kaba's experience has been represented for 11 years by A+I. Its solutions are specially designed to meet the requirements of airport operators and airlines: greater security, efficient user flow and optimized access management.
Today there are two issues of regulation and control that are the weak point in most airports in the world that are still managed under non-systematized standards, it is the flow of passengers and unauthorized access.
Passenger flow can be improved by automating boarding pass control. This reduces waiting lines at the entrance by eliminating crowding of passengers and increasing security by keeping a timely check on all accessers.
When reading the boarding pass, the new automatic access systems send the information regarding the access of each passenger to the corresponding airline or the airport operator. This information allows you to know if all passengers on a given flight have boarded on time, or if there is any delay. In addition, it allows differentiating passengers from first class, business class or VIPs, reducing the waiting time for each case.
The door also allows the passage of suitcases with wheels, backpacks and any type of luggage (of permitted dimensions) without sounding the alarm; for their part, operators have access to detailed passenger traffic reports.
One of the most delicate aspects of airport security is to separate the public area (ground zone) from the security zone or "sterile" zone (air zone). Upon arrival at their destination, passengers exit the aircraft and must quickly and easily cross from the air zone to the ground area without crossing paths with incoming users.
Safety regulations stipulate that no unauthorized person may have access to the air zone, which means that you must avoid at all costs that passengers on arrival back off or that unauthorized persons have access to the air zone.
