Argentina. According to information provided by ESET, an antivirus protection provider, new Trojans have been detected that are sent by spam with messages similar to
phishing, which try to deceive users in order to infect them.
This Trojan, detected as Win32/TrojanClicker.VB.NDA, has as its main feature the access to different web pages automatically, seeking to benefit those specific sites by clicking on advertising links.
"These Trojans are becoming more common and from the similarity they have between them it is clear that there is a working group of malware creators programming new versions of this threat," said Cristian Borghello, TECHNICAL & Educational Manager of ESET for Latin America.
"There are more and more threats with different objectives that are located in Latin America and that is why we always have to be very careful not to be victims of this type of attack," Borghello added.
