El Salvador. Now, authorities control the entry of visitors to the government building using the Id-Guard facial biometrics system, manufactured by the company RecFaces.
This solution immediately detects a person in a video stream and verifies their data according to files in less than 10 seconds. In addition, it can react to threats in real-time and sends notifications of special events or violations to the operator.
To function properly, Id-Guard must be installed in a complete video surveillance system. The procedure takes a few minutes and the deployment takes place in a matter of days, while the software is configured remotely.
"Governments choose complete software products because of their ease of implementation and use, as well as their integrity and absence of failures. This refers, above all, to innovative areas related to security and personal data software, such as facial biometrics," said RecFaces, Business Development Manager in Latin America at RecFaces.
In addition to carrying out the installation, the manufacturer trained employees of the integrator company NordicTech at its online training center. This will allow them to correctly interpret the results of the Id-Guard operation and configure the system independently.
Trial version
The occupants of the Legislative Assembly had the opportunity, prior to the final installation, to use a demo version of Id-Guard. After the trial period, the customer decided to install the system permanently.
Among the advantages offered by Id-Guard to state entities are list control, visitor tracking, and file search. In the legislative body, software functionality is almost 100% involved, which is rare for complex technical solutions.
