Latin America. With the recent acquisition of the English factory Ievo, a specialist in biometric readers, CDVI reinforces its presence in the access control market in the world and of course in Latin America. Now, the company opens up new opportunities for projects of this type.
Fabrice Bioulet, Sales Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, revealed two important technological innovations that expand the brand's portfolio in our region. "CDVI has always been characterized by its controller solutions and software, but after the acquisition of Ievo we now have biometric readers, which are of very high quality and are integrated with our system, both in the Atrium for medium projects, and in Centauro for large integration projects."
On the biometric reader, Fabrice highlighted some features: "It is very robust. It has a multi-spectrum technology, which makes the fingerprint read in a much higher dimension than other technologies and makes it difficult for it to be violated. It also has a much stronger range and is ideal for both outdoor and indoor thanks to its IP65 protection index."
The reader also works in complicated environments such as construction; it can read wet or gel fingers and even works with latex gloves.
Krypto Mobile Pass
The other novelty that Fabrice mentioned to us is Krypto Mobile Pass, it is a virtual credential solution where the cell phone is used to have access.
Mobile-PASS works alongside the new Atrium A22K controller introduced to the market last year.
"The characteristic of this solution is that it has a very high security, because our Krypto controller has a triple encryption: AES 256 in the Ethernet port, AES 256 for communication from the reader controller, and AES 128 from the reader to the card when it is used. This is the number one advantage to generate a very high security that we call military security," said Fabrice.
It is a plug and play system. It is super easy to manage and install, to pass a card to a user is extremely easy. We do not rely on a third-party platform. That is, for your system to work you do not require the Internet or a third-party platform, that is, a cloud, for example, where the information depends on this third party or this brand.
Fabrice adds that the system does not depend on third-party platforms and ends by explaining that with this solution "we can assure our integrators and customers a 100% CDVI solution: software, controller, reader, the app from the cell phone, the virtual card, locks; all driving with our warranty which is five years for most products, plus the support we offer for all these different solutions that make a whole project."
