Latin America. Dahua announced the release of the latest update to its High Definition Composite Video Interface (HDCVI) series, dubbed HDCVI 6.0 PLUS.
With the popularity of 16:9 widescreen displays on the market today, the loss in image quality due to stretching of traditional 4:3 video output has become an emerging issue, especially in surveillance where image clarity and accurate identification of targets are of paramount importance. Dahua HDCVI 6.0 PLUS offers a solution with Real 5MP technology that offers an aspect ratio of 16:9 to better adapt to common HD screens.
Compared to the previous version of 5MP@20fps, Real 5MP technology provides 5MP@25fps output and a large field of view (FOV). By presenting accurate and vivid images, Real 5MP technology provides an enhanced visual experience and enables accurate recognition and identification of targets in the scene.
Aside from image distortion, users are also often faced with complex lighting conditions that can negatively affect their monitoring efficiency. The traditional remedy for this problem is for installers to manually adjust camera settings to ensure image performance, leading to additional time and labor costs.
The Super Adapt technology of the Dahua HDCVI 6.0 PLUS has the ability to recognize whether the monitored scene is located indoors, outdoors or under a wide dynamic range, the system can automatically adjust the camera settings (e.g. brightness, color, contrast and white balance) to match the actual scene, eliminating the need for manual settings just to optimize image performance. It can also be adapted to complex lighting environments, making it ideal for various scenarios such as doors, hallways, lounges and even windows. For indoor scenarios, this technology can significantly improve the brightness of dark areas in the monitored scene, capturing clear and rich details. For outdoor scenarios, Super Adapt technology can help prevent overexposure in environments with intense lighting conditions, greatly optimizing image quality.
In addition, the Dahua HDCVI 6.0 PLUS also features AI enhanced with its high-performance AI chip and advanced deep learning algorithm, enabling accurate recognition of humans and vehicles at the monitored scene. In this regard, Dahua has the Cooper-I series, which is equipped with Smart Motion Detection (SMD) Plus that allows to accurately recognize people and vehicles, and is able to effectively filter false alarms caused by irrelevant objects such as small animals, leaves, rain, light, etc.
Along with the Dahua HDCVI Three-in-One (TiOC) Camera, SMD Plus offers siren and interconnected lights that can be turned on and off simultaneously in a single click, through the arm/disarm function, helping to effectively deter intruders. You can also perform search using AI to locate targets by categories, saving a significant amount of bandwidth through AI coding and providing efficient search without needing to review a large number of video images. Additionally, this series also allows you to record custom alarm audio based on different scenarios, which can be uploaded to the cameras through the DMSS application.
