International. ISS - Intelligent Security Systems announced that it has added a hand disinfection analytics called: SecurOS, which is part of its COVID-19 back-to-work solutions. The new analysis, based on Intel's artificial neural network (ANN) and imaging technology, is designed to detect whether a person has not washed their hands properly in a designated area where it is mandatory to wash their hands and/or disinfect them.
Initially developed for use in the food service industry, the demand for hand sanitizer analysis is trending rapidly to meet emerging compliance requirements in a post-COVID-19 world.
"One of the most basic ways to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to wash your hands and disinfect. Like many drugs that were developed for other ailments that are now used to combat COVID-19, our Analysis of SecurOS hand sanitizer was initially in development for another purpose, but it seems more appropriate now as a smart, autonomous solution to help prevent the spread of this deadly virus," said Aluisio Figueiredo, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR of Intelligent Security Systems.
Market demand for SecurOS hand sanitizer has already been generated in numerous hospitals, doctors' offices, industrial facilities, commercial and residential buildings, and public and government facilities across the country to help establish safe "back to work" procedures.
The ISS SecurOS Hand Sanitizer solution integrates Intel Realsense cameras with isS's SecurOS analysis platform to identify and analyze postures and movements of skeletal body shape. Realsense's combination of image depth metadata and ISS NN analysis tracks hand movement in the act of washing/disinfecting. Metadata is processed by the SecurOS platform, which defines actions as combinations of elementary movements.
For example, the elementary movement "the person bends the arm more than 90 degrees" can be part of the complex action "the person responds to a phone call", which in turn includes several alternative descriptions, each of which consists of multiple movements. In the same way, the SecurOS platform can define a set of actions that indicate that a person is washing their hands in a sink/sink or standing in front of a standalone disinfectant liquid dispenser and rubbing their hands properly and for the amount of time needed. The vocabulary of the ISS SecurOS platform is built using natural language and is similar in this respect to IBM's Watson.
