This space, which was held on July 28 and 29, and in which Ventas de Seguridad was present, brought together the electronic security community again, where more than 300 attendees participated in a cycle of 28 academic conferences that were given in parallel in 2 adjoining rooms. WINGS shares the reactions of the event.
"The WINGS 360 Virtual Congress was a very interesting new experience that allowed us to meet our colleagues in the sector again during a time of isolation in which we have had new challenges to learn and take our businesses into the future. I applaud these initiatives and I believe that they must continue even continuously to unite us more as a sector," said assistant Carlos Guzmán, of the company AGM Business Ltda.
Likewise, 24 sponsors, who believed in the event, were able to exhibit their technologies at the Expo Hall, where the avatars of the attendees were constantly circulating, while interacting in real time with the staff of each brand that attended the different types of stands.
Emiliano Navarro, from sponsor Nanocomm, said: "Happy to have participated in Alas 360, the first edition of a historic event for our industry, Thanks to this innovative proposal we were able to meet, talk, stay connected and do business virtually at a very complicated time for the world."
In the end, more than 450 avatars coexisted in a universe created to enable business, academic updating and personal interactions in a closeness to reality never before seen in our market.
"We wanted to set a pattern, to be the first to bet on virtuality, beyond simply connecting through communication platforms. We were surprised by the immersion in this universe that we created, it made us forget that we were all in different parts of the world and it allowed us to feel close, feel really together and do everything we do in the ALAS face-to-face events and in many ways, even more, "said Tadeo Ospina, Marketing and Communications Manager of the Association.
The event had the support and accompaniment of 15 entities between media and institutional allies, who also had an area destined for the Expo hall to show their services on interactive screens and "virtual body present" with their avatars.
As a culmination of the event, as usual in the ALAS Congresses, there was a relaxed and fun moment with the "Afternoon of Talents", in which several characters of the industry, from different areas, companies and countries were singing, dancing and showing different talents that they have beyond the professional profiles with which we know them.
There were also awards and networking to close an event that will remain in the memory of all those who participated and understood the concept of reinvention, as something necessary to be able to move forward despite the challenges that COVID-19 has brought us this year.
Finally, ALAS is aware that this type of experience must be followed up and continued, so a "Post-Congress Business Roundtable" will be held in which it is sought that those who started businesses or want to delve deeper into the information they received from the exhibitors, may have an additional space to continue with this contact.
Of course, WINGS is already thinking about the second version of the event, which tentatively would be planned for early 2021.
