International. IntelliVision, a subsidiary of Nortek Security & Control, which specializes in artificial intelligence and deep learning video and audio analytics software for smart cameras, said it has incorporated face mask detection into its range of real-time video analytics products.
The brand's face mask detection analysis was developed using a deep learning neural network and trained on thousands of images of people with different face mask designs. In addition to face mask detection, IntelliVision has been providing advanced facial recognition analytics for over 10 years.
"Face mask detection is the first and most important line of defense in any COVID-19 protection strategy of return to work or public access," said Vaidhi Nathan, SVP Cameras and Analytics at NSC. "IntelliVision's face mask detection analysis ensures that employees, buyers and customers comply with safety guidelines, and is designed to send an alert if a mask is not detected. IntelliVision is committed to helping its customers and the market get back to work safely."
The mask detection is the first in a series of products launched by IntelliVision as part of a broader COVID-19 back-to-work solution.
The IntelliVision family of AI audio and video analytics solutions includes facial recognition, object classification (humans, vehicles, pets, aircraft), intelligent object detection, intrusion/perimeter surveillance, abandoned/retired objects, and license plate recognition (LPR/ANPR).
