Using advanced detection algorithms and a sophisticated optical photoelectric sensor, the new 2GIG Smoke Heat Freeze detectors enable early detection and decrease false alarms, meeting new UL standards for 2021.
These devices are designed to detect fire problems faster and recognize smoke from common synthetic materials using updated optical sensors and detection algorithms, adding encryption technology for more secure communication with 2GIG eSeries security panels.
While traditional smoke detectors identify smoke and trigger an alarm when smoke density has reached a specific level, the new detectors are able to recognize the difference between smoke particles created by synthetic materials and those resulting from normal cooking events.
Detecting excessive temperature variations, the device sends a high temperature alert to the panel and the siren is activated when the ambient temperature exceeds 56°C. It is also capable of generating freezing warnings if the ambient temperature remains below -4°C for more than a minute.
