International. HID Global completed the acquisition of the international identification solutions division of De La Rue, a global commercial issuer of banknotes and passports. The De La Rue division will merge with HID Global's portfolio of citizen IDENTIFICATION solutions, allowing it to expand its possibilities of scaling and assembling government-issued citizen IDs and expanding the added value offered to customers.

HID Global ensures that its citizen identification solutions can be found in 60% of all government-issued e-ID projects worldwide.
De La Rue's direct relationships with interior ministries, immigration departments, police departments, and many other government entities and agencies will enhance HID's ability to provide customers with a broader set of offerings including mobile IDs, automated verification features, and e-passports with advanced physical and electronic security features.
This addition also expands HID's ability to produce secure identification documents from start to finish in world-class facilities. It will provide the company with new opportunities to apply the design excellence that has characterized De La Rue, its data and software analysis services and advisory services, as well as its wide range of recognized systems, including a solution for civil registration and citizen vital event statistics (CRVS) to HID's portfolio of citizen identifications.
