Mexico. Dahua Technology held the first Innovation Day, a space where it presented the latest advances in electronic security and AI applied in different industries. Experts spoke in real time about these solutions and their impact on the security, economy and growth of companies, on September 23.
Gilberto Basilio Sánchez, Director of IoT (Internet of Things) for Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Latin America of Intel, reported that Dahua's analytics is perfect, with artificial intelligence can immediately detect dangerous events or improve from sales to security in industries, entertainment centers, shopping malls, schools and universities, among others. He stressed that worldwide there are millions of devices that record video, but that in the coming years there will be a technological revolution that will give greater benefits to people, such as informing where the best health specialist is and from the cell phone schedule an appointment with him. "At Intel, we have the connectivity to create a valuable experience."
"Given this panorama, we need to integrate intelligence into cameras, such as the one currently offered by Dahua, remember that intelligence generates value. If we take into account that 82 percent of IP traffic is video, it is estimated that by 2020 it will be 40 billion. The opportunity is there," he said.
In his opinion it is a great challenge to land this technology in the use of financial services or manufacturing, "once everyone joins these technologies they will benefit. The camera part is going to be horizontal in the Internet of Things."
Likewise, the Dahua company presented its equipment and technologies for entertainment centers such as sports, stadiums and auditoriums. Focused on the security part, as is the case of facial recognition, which allows to identify football bars and prevent risks.
Juan Carlos Cabrera, manager of Channels of Dahua Mexico, indicated that this company manufactures Software in video surveillance, which increases the power of artificial intelligence, managing to identify from a lost person to an attempted robbery, through the sensors that their equipment has.
As for safe cities, Intel's technology incorporated into the various equipment marketed by the Dahua brand, seeks to attack the problems of insecurity. Currently there are success stories in Mexico with technologies of people's faces and clothing color. In the case of vehicles, it is being successful in detecting speeding or bad behavior of people.
In the retail sector, it has a large presence in shopping centers and self-service stores to monitor goods. With this they ensure what is inside these stores. These teams also work for companies to make decisions in the marketing or commercialization of their products.
In the analytical of the cameras they analyze the behavior of the limbs of the people, if an armed person or with his hands up in a situation of panic immediately detects it by sending an alert.
The Innovation Day was a great event where Security Sales was present and attended by integrators and business partners, interested in knowing the news that this company continuously brings to Mexico and Latin America.
