Brazil. The solutions were installed in a security project carried out in Allianz Parque, a multipurpose sports arena inaugurated in 2014 and located in São Paulo. The technology was supplied by Dahua Technology.
The space is a reference in modernity, complies with FIFA standards and collects several honors, including the Master Award, in the 11th edition of the Grand Prize for Corporate Architecture, the Seal of Accessibility. , presented by the Permanent Commission on Accessibility (CPA), and the "Environmental Management of the Workplace" award in the 3rd Seconci Award for Occupational Health and Safety.
With an eye on the market, the management of Allianz Parque constantly invests in advanced technology and new solutions to keep the project in line with the most current innovation standards in the world. The latest is Dahua Technology's smart video surveillance cameras. Cameras with integrated artificial intelligence systems could help the arena's security team work more efficiently and productively, so that the stadium is able to handle different types of stages, such as large-scale concerts, important celebrations and, especially, football matches, of the Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras.
"We are very proud to be able to count on this Dahua technology partnership. Through it, today Allianz Parque now has a state-of-the-art facial recognition system, with artificial intelligence and data analysis, and can be integrated into the system of public safety equipment," says Eduardo Rigotto, general manager of Allianz Park.
Although the arena does not present difficulties for the security operation, even being recognized as one of the most protected in the country, Rigotto points out that there are always possibilities for modernization. "The market has changed in five years and to stay ahead of the curve, and continue to be an inspiration for other spaces we must continue to invest in new technologies," he says.
The project used devices with state-of-the-art integrated artificial intelligence technologies. Many of its functions go beyond an image captured by an ordinary camera.
The camera models and technologies used are as follows:
- DH-IPC-PF83230-A180: panoramic camera with four 8-megapixel CMOS sensors, generating a single 180-degree image of 32 megapixels using the H.265 compression technique
- SD6CE245UN-HNI: PTZ-style positioning camera with various technologies, such as Starlight, which allows the display of images in very light colors (less than 0.005lux). It has a 45x zoom system, plus infrared illumination that can reach 250 meters away;
- MPT310 portable recorder, used with lapel cameras, which performs the recording and transmission of high-definition audio and video online from the point of view of the agent close to the events;
- DH-IPC-HFW8242EN-Z4FD-IRA-LED: special network camera that captures human faces through the AI algorithm, integrated into a chip with deep learning technology. It gives the face detection server a lot of processing work as the camera locates the faces of the video image and analyzes attributes such as gender, age, facial expressions and whether you have glasses.
- Network camera recorder and facial database manager DHI-IVSS7016DR-4T. It works in conjunction with the DSS PRO CMS that records the videos on the network, in addition to managing and analyzing the faces previously registered in the database of employees and service providers of Allianz Parque. Users can also set a blacklist and the recorder will alert once unauthorized persons are detected in a certain sector. The server can, in real time, work processing the input flow at the opening of the door, being able to recognize up to 40 faces per second in the Arena, detecting the faces and comparing them with the database prepared to issue field security alerts in a few seconds;
- Video wall, with 6 46-inch LCD screens (DHL460UCM-ES), forms a 2×3 matrix and a Dahua controller (NVD0905DH-4I-4K), which can display 4K, live images, announcements and newsletters in a professional manner
The installation of the entire system took about 90 days. According to the general manager of Allianz Parque, the biggest challenge is to implement the new system with the sand in operation: "We have to carry out the replacement without any impact on the safety equipment. But with the support of the Dahua Technology team, we can do the job quietly without any major changes to our initial planning."
In addition to providing electronic security technology, Dahua Technology has also become a sponsor of Allianz Parque, as well as Prevent Senior, Pine Bank and the Allianz Seguros brand itself. As a result, Dahua Technology will rename the Arena Control Center to CCO and the stadium will have more than 150 signs that Dahua Technology's technology is on site to protect everyone.
In 2018, the company completed the delivery of the largest RingLed 360º in Latin America, with a total of 580 meters and with panels for all the bars of the arena. Dahua Technology's LED panel design was developed by Digital Arena, a pioneer in digital stadium media. "Our philosophy is to deliver great projects that make a difference, not only for the client but also for the people who will use their space," says Fabio Lopes, channel director of Dahua Technology, who adds: "Allianz Park is an entertainment place where spectators aspire to see a great show with total safety and comfort. This project aims to demonstrate that Allianz Parque is the safest setting in Latin America."
