International. A new survey says people consider malicious experts (30 percent) and human error (25 percent) to be the top two cybersecurity threats.
According to the survey by Canon's Office of the Future in the United States, malware and ransomware are other relevant cybersecurity threats. More than a third of respondents consider malware and ransomware to be a top priority threat. However, 25 percent of respondents say employees don't have limited safety knowledge or don't understand their role in prevention.
The last relevant cybersecurity threat is compromised devices. In today's digital age, the survey says, and with remote work trends on the rise, 21 percent of IT decision makers rate compromised devices as a priority threat.
Respondents then rank data security, network security and user authentication and ID management as the three most relevant technologies to help counter this threat.
The survey results pointed to additional gaps, such as the lack of appropriate cybersecurity spending in certain verticals. However, the survey found that 25 percent of respondents are looking to increase cloud security investments in the future.
