International. Orange Business Services has been chosen by the Sony Group to consolidate and transform the communications infrastructure of Sony's two largest operating companies, with the aim of achieving a harmonised and future-proof network that delivers a better user experience worldwide.
Based on the Orange Flexible SD-WAN solution, Sony's new network will connect more than 500 locations in more than 50 countries on five continents to bring better performance, security and scalability to your operations.
Orange will now be Sony's leading global supplier, offering a fully automated smart grid for all global business units. The future-proof SD-WAN platform will enable Sony to share IT talent and have complete end-to-end visibility to improve global service agility.

"Orange's innovation, integration capabilities and international network are the catalysts that will allow us, for the first time, to bring our regional operating companies together under one umbrella," said Makoto Toyoda, CIO of Sony Group. "Only Orange can offer a platform with the scale and scope to cover all the moving parts of our international business. It's a transformative step on our part that paves the way for us to embrace new forms of IT innovation that will propel the company forward."
"Sony is forging a strong new path with its global SD-WAN infrastructure," said Rob Willcock, president of the Americas, Orange Business Services. "We are pleased that Sony has chosen Orange as a key partner in its transformation, and we are ready to step in and bring immediate clarity to its global communications network. Orange has the technology, the reach and the people to make that possible for customers in and out of the U.S."
