Mexico. Two new video surveillance cameras presented Panasonic from Mexico. These are the WV-X6533LN and WV-S6532LN models, belonging to the i-Pro Extreme range, a pair of PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) type cameras with Full HD video quality, scene detection technologies and adjustment to capture the best possible image, as well as robust design to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions or resist possible acts of vandalism.
Designed for installation in street furniture, poles, bridges or outdoor structures, Panasonic has manufactured these cameras with high standards of resistance both to the effects of dust and water (IP66) and to possible accidental blows or the product of vandalism (IK10). Its design facilitates different mounting options to achieve the best image coverage in combination with the use of its PTZ mechanism, which allows horizontal and vertical camera movements, as well as approaches, so that the monitoring work is as complete and fast as possible.
For the best image quality, the WV-X6533LN and WV-S6532LN feature iA (Intelligent Auto) technology, which detects scene changes and motion to automatically adjust camera settings in real time, reducing distortion and blur of moving objects. In addition, thanks to its ClearSight coating, water droplets and dust are prevented from adhering to the surface of the lens, which ensures the image sharpness necessary for the identification of moving vehicles.
Capturing images under extreme lighting conditions, such as blackouts or areas without street lighting, is a challenge that these cameras overcome by incorporating IR LED technology. This technology manages to illuminate at a great distance – up to 350 meters for the WV-X6533LN and 100 meters for the WV-S6532LN – to capture very clear monochromatic images in conditions of up to 0 lux.
On the other hand, during the night or under dense storms, Color Night Vision technology helps to achieve color images with very low noise level in very low light circumstances (0.001 to 0.015 lux).
The WV-X6533LN has a high-performance lens for long distances as its powerful 40x zoom offers excellent image stabilization by combining the Intelligent Zoom Stabilization function with a gyroscope built into the camera.
Both models use H.265 compression technology, which reduces bandwidth usage with up to 95% efficiency compared to conventional H.264 to increase recording time and use less storage space. In addition, with the new ROI (Region Of Interest) function and Auto VIQS (Variable Image Quality on Specified Area) coding, the camera detects and "learns" the areas of constant movement so that the image of vehicles and people is maintained with the best quality, while reducing bandwidth usage.
The new cameras include the use of a license of the i-VMD (intelligent Video Motion Detection) software, which provides intelligent detection functions of changes in the image or risk situations in previously determined areas. The software is capable of sending alert notifications, from a warning signal on the monitoring operator's screen, to the commissioning of an alarm system.
