United States. The ninth edition of the ALAS Management Summit (June 26 and 27 in Miami) is up to date with the needs of professionals and companies in the Security Industry. We are living a transition between the real and the virtual and currently the inhabitants of Latin American cities are not only affected by insecurity on the streets, but also by cybercrime that directly impacts the security of people, institutions and companies.
The conference program is divided into three main thematic blocks: management and leadership, cybersecurity and electronic security and an axis focused on physical security. The management and leadership block will offer different experiences with international experts, panel discussions and workshops.
Management and leadership
The first day of the congress will be attended by Ely Magendzo who arrives from Chile to present the keynote speech: How to empower my people, the purpose as an engine of efficiency, in which the management applied to the people of a team will be explained. The key is to identify the purpose of the members of that team.
Within this framework there is also the panel "Protecting my business: the voice of users", in which Kael Malo, IBM Regional Security Manager and César Avendaño, Director of Resource Protection of Grupo Éxito, will participate, this panel will give a perspective of the needs and challenges that users from different vertical markets have.
The panel "Facility management, challenges and opportunities in security", moderated by Alberto Álvarez, CEO of ALAS and in which Juan Daniel García, Head of Infrastructure and Operations at Ágora Bogotá, Convention Center, and Carlos Saavedra, General Manager of ACEIS S. A. and Facility Manager of the Year 2018, will participate as panelists, will be the opportune space to discuss the challenges proposed by the market and how to face them.
This year, as usual, a day of workshops will be offered during the two days, in which attendees who register previously, will be able to attend: The recurring and subscription business is the present and the future. Are you ready for it?, taught by Daniel Banda, CEO of the company Softguard and member of the Board of Directors of ALAS, who will show practical tips to get into the pocket of customers and multiply sales of services using the basic rules of scalability. An ideal space for companies that have monitoring as their commercial and productive activity.
And to close this leadership block, on the second day will be offered the keynote speech, "Do you sell security? learn to measure the return on your investment", directed by Julio César González, Security Specialist Consultant, who will explain why the sustainability and prosperity of the business depend on how the allocated budget is invested and its effectiveness. This conference will discuss the return on investment and the key concepts of measuring it.
