Latin America. Johnson Controls announced a complete rebranding of its Tyco Retail Solutions (TRS) portfolio to Sensormatic Solutions.
As part of the rebranding process, Johnson Controls will stop using the Tyco Retail Solutions name to describe the business portfolio and will use Sensormatic Solutions as an umbrella brand for its loss prevention, inventory intelligence and traffic information portfolio. The Sensormatic, TrueVUE and ShopperTrak brands will remain to represent the three sets of individual solutions covered by the Sensormatic Solutions umbrella. Tyco will continue to be Johnson Controls' leading fire safety and security brand that has earned the trust of customers.
"True innovation and value creation in retail comes at the intersection of operational excellence and the shopper experience," says Bjoern Petersen, President of Sensormatic Solutions. "With this rebranding, we will bring to market one of the world's most recognized retail solutions brands, reinforcing our commitment to providing secure and adaptable retail environments and a more accurate decision-making process. The Sensormatic Solutions name also provides us with a more dynamic growth profile, as all of our solutions come together under the cover of a single brand as we continue to innovate and build for the future. It's a really meaningful time for our customers, partners and employees."
"The transition from Tyco Retail Solutions to Sensormatic Solutions is not just a name change," said Kimberly Warne, Vice President of Marketing, Sensormatic Solutions. "It is an opportunity to clearly articulate our continued focus and commitment to being a transformative innovator and business partner for the retail sector, while paying tribute to our history and legacy."
Informed moments of truth
By connecting inventory journeys, buyers, and collaborators with accurate, secure, and timely information, moments of truth are created that turn customers into buyers. The new Sensormatic Solutions helps retailers deliver personalized, secure and transparent experiences by making it easy to make the right decisions across the enterprise. Sensormatic Solutions establishes connections and bridges gaps in retail companies to deliver critical real-time information about inventories, customers and collaborators in the retail environment. The company protects property and people by ensuring a safe and secure environment throughout the customer journey.
Sensormatic Solutions' scalable solutions and insights enable retailers to move into the future with confidence, bringing together online, mobile and in-store shopping processes to deliver the kind of easy, personalized and enhanced experiences that shoppers so dearly appreciate. With this, retailers are better positioned to anticipate changes before they happen, so that merchandise is available, employees are properly informed and trained and customers can act safely, flexibly and easily.
"We are a reliable enabler of global transformation, creating a clear path into the future. An innovator who continues to invest in disruptive technologies, contributing to the evolution of our retailers and their brands," adds Petersen. The richness and depth of our information is best-in-class, allowing for greater responsiveness and more accurate predictions. It's really us who set the benchmark for safe and flexible sales environments for shoppers around the world."
"The digital world is radically changing the overall landscape of the retail business and retailers are under pressure to adjust their business operations and keep up. The customer is the one who defines their experience – how, where, when and why engagement occurs," said Leslie Hand, Vice President, IDC Retail Insights. "In today's hyper-connected world, the new Sensormatic Solutions brand is well positioned to help retailers successfully engage with shoppers at all levels, by integrating digital and non-digital strategies into the store."
The Sensormatic Solutions brand will make its debut at the National Retail Federation (NRF) Big Show (Booth 1919), which will take place January 13-15 in New York City.
