Johnson Controls introduced the latest version of the exacqVision video management system (version 8.8), which features powerful tools that give administrators and users more insight and control of the situation.
In order to better react to impending events that may affect their business, users can now embed a web page as a dashboard within the exacqVision client and thus obtain important information in a timely manner, such as weather updates and breaking news.
In addition, links to events can be incorporated so that they appear above the live video stream. This feature is ideal for associating links to access control events or intrusion issues, and is very useful for in-store applications, where metal and aluminum detectors are beginning to be installed to identify the presence of aluminum-lined bags, a new tool for thieves. Once the serial data profile is set up on the metal detector, every time an aluminum-lined bag is detected, an alarm is triggered that will appear above the corresponding live video to provide crucial information to the trader who wants to prevent theft.
