Johnson Controls introduces the iSTARUltra LT Access Controller, a special edition of the iSTAR Ultra Access Controller that features a fully IP architecture and enterprise-grade features for small and medium-sized access control deployments.
The iSTAR Ultra LT centralizes access control decision processes and secures communications across the network, also enabling end users to use existing infrastructure and Power over Ethernet power to reduce costs. With a scalable architecture that supports up to eight readers and 500,000 cardholders, the iSTAR Ultra LT is ideal for businesses looking for a flexible access control system, compatible with future upgrades, and that can be expanded as needed.
The iSTAR Ultra LT control module includes the local access control database and makes all access decisions, centralizing access control management for operators. To further reduce costs, the iSTAR Ultra LT can be shared with multiple Ethernet gate modules. Advanced encryption and authentication ensure that communications between doors and controllers are completely secure. The iSTAR Ultra LT also includes a mobile application with BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) technology that simplifies the configuration and management of controllers and locks, reducing commissioning time, saving time and money.
