Fujitsu announces that its PRIMERGY x86 servers incorporate NVIDIA Volta Graphical Processing Units (GPUs,) to accelerate advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and support the deep learning process. The selected models will be certified for the new generation of NVIDIA Tesla V100 GPU accelerators.
Both AI and deep learning involve large amounts of raw data and require highly demanding computing environments. The Japanese multinational responds to this challenge by introducing native deep learning processing capabilities in its PRIMERGY CX and RX server models.
To achieve the highest levels of system performance, the company is introducing native support for NVIDIA GPUs, by connecting directly to the motherboard. It connects either via PCIe cards or the NVIDIA NVLink high-speed interconnect™. PRIMERGY servers provide access and performance to more than 100 Teraflops per second (TFLOPS) of deep learning performance.
