Latin America. Johnson Controls presents the new generation of minidome cameras, Bullet and Box Illustra Flex of 3 MP. This line incorporates new features, such as P-Iris lenses, TrickleStor technology to deliver superior reliability and image quality, and Illustra IntelliZip compression technology, which allows you to manage camera bandwidth conveniently and effectively.
Integrated Illustra IntelliZip technology, which complements H.264 and H.265 formats, monitors and optimizes system transmission parameters to match the activity level of the camera's field of view. Video quality is automatically adjusted when motion is detected to ensure that the detail quality in the image is not lost. When the camera does not detect more activity, the video adjusts and optimizes the transfer speed to reduce bandwidth usage and network storage requirements.
The new Illustra Flex cameras also feature TrickleStor, which allows video to be recorded on the same camera, even in the event of a connection interruption. The camera detects the interruption and starts recording the video to the SD card. Once the connection between the camera and the network video recorder (NVR) is restored, TrickleStor transfers the video from the SD card to the NVR to ensure that the video is not interrupted.
The Real Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) feature, which is available across the Flex product line, helps cameras that record in high-contrast conditions balance shadows and light to maintain sharpness in the image. This feature is ideal for implementations that have windows or doors as areas of interest. The 3 MP Flex camera line also features the P-Iris lens system, which works in conjunction with custom software algorithms to deliver the best image quality and sharpness in all possible lighting conditions.
"These new additions to the Illustra Flex family allow us to deliver an integrated, accessible, high-quality video experience. Either with the P-Iris lenses, which ensure a sharp image; with TrickleStor, which offers redundant point-to-point recording; or with IntelliZip, which helps maximize bandwidth; our goal is to meet the diverse needs of our customers," said Antonio Olmedo Morales, Johnson Controls Product Marketing Manager for Latin America in the video area.
The Illustra Flex 3 MP minidome cameras have a compact and attractive design, and are available for indoors and outdoors. In addition, they have the IP67 rating of protection against damage by dust and water and with IR lighting for better vision in low light conditions. The Bullet model also features an IP67-rated enclosure that protects the camera from dust and water damage, making it ideal for parking lots, loading docks, and other outdoor areas, as well as for schools and other small and medium-sized deployments, e.g., retail stores, offices, and banks. The Illustra Flex 3 MP Box camera is a flexible solution adaptable to any installation or application.
All of these economical Illustra Flex models offer real dynamic range functions and Real Day/Night mode for low-light recording, feature motion detector for intrusion alerts and are compatible with the ONVIF standard. The Flex family of products meets the rigorous security standards of Tyco Security Products' Cyber Protection Program (CPP)*. CPP is an extensive and systemic approach to developing, configuring, and supporting physical security products and systems that help manage the risks associated with cyberattacks and meet IT security demands.
