Axis Communications presents its new Axis D2050-VE networked radar detector. Radar technology is used to accurately and reliably detect moving objects in different light and weather conditions. It is a good complement to cameras with motion detection in the video and offers the function of tracking moving objects with PTZ cameras.
Radar also makes it possible to cover a large area, while thermal cameras are more suitable for the protection of long perimeters. This product, developed mainly for medium-sized industrial facilities, is designed to be integrated into Axis cameras and video surveillance systems, in addition to the surveillance and video surveillance systems of other major suppliers.
The Axis D2050-VE is vandal resistant and suitable for outdoor use, and can also provide real-time information about the position, speed, angle and size of a moving object. With a wider range than passive infrared sensors, it covers a wide detection field while minimizing false alarms triggered by spiders, small animals, moving shadows and light reflections. The radar motion detector can be adjusted to trigger the recording of the camera, a speaker with acoustic warning or a light in order to deter and improve the visual confirmation capacity of the cameras.
The Axis network radar detector can be used as a standalone product or as part of a surveillance system. Thanks to its open interface, it is compatible with Axis cameras and can be easily integrated with Axis Camera Station and Axis Camera Management software, as well as other video management systems, for easy control and maintenance.
