Colombia. NVT Phybridge, a leading brand in PoLRE (Power over Long Range Ethernet), will present for the first time in Colombia in a fully operational way the FLEX switch, which allows connections of up to 600 meters of Ethernet and PoE, point to point, without the need for intermediate repetition equipment.
The enterprise-grade 24-port FLEX switch is the latest addition to the brand's range of long-range CHARIoT switches. On the other hand, and for applications with needs of fewer cameras, NVT Phybridge will be exhibiting the new, individual Ethernet and PoE extenders FLEX-KITS.
This FLEX series of adapters and extenders are designed to extend PoE far beyond the standard Ethernet range. They facilitate the deployment of devices through a UTP/STP infrastructure for distances of up to 2,000 feet (610m). This helps eliminate the costs and disruptions associated with FDI cabinet requirements.
The company recognizes the importance of international Security Fair E+S+S (Bogotá, August 16 to 18), as the main showcase in the region so that manufacturers can approach this type of solutions. "We are one of the pioneer companies of the fair with uninterrupted participation, this has allowed us to maintain contact with existing customers, update them on our news and at the same time expand to new customers," said Jaime Trujillo, sales manager of the Andean and Central American region of NVT Phybridge.
"One of the main objectives for the 2017 version of the fair is to help our customers enable migration to IP in an emerging IoT world, eliminating most of the barriers that users encounter when considering taking this step," he concluded.
On the other hand, for Jaime Trujillo, security in the region is at a time when the IoT (Internet of Things) is breaking in as a global concept. This implies a need for integration of systems of a very diverse nature (security, access control, telephony, lighting, building controls, etc.) within the networks of companies. "That's where NVT Phybridge's range of CHARIoT switches becomes a key element, as a unifier in data transport and PoE," he concludes.
