Axis Communications
Axis Communications created the A8004-VE Accessibility Kit, which allows people with hearing or visual disabilities to communicate through a video intercom to control entrances and exits in condominiums or parking lots, as well as restricted access areas in hospitals, schools and buildings.
Developed as a faceplate that connects directly to the company's IP video intercom, the kit features luminous pictograms showing access release and activated function – indicating, for example, that the user's image is being viewed live by the monitoring team.
For users with visual difficulties, a loop of audible warnings alerts about the presence of the video intercom, and a marking in braille indicates the voice call button with the central one. In this way, the interaction with technology is much simpler and makes the presence of third parties unnecessary.
