Latin America. Axis Communications introduces the easy-to-install AXIS T8516 PoE+ 16-channel network switch, a perfect complement to Axis recorders as it further simplifies the configuration and installation of surveillance systems. It includes a built-in DHCP server for automatic IP address assignment and company device discovery. The intuitive administrator interface provides a graphical topology for a simple overview of all the computers in the system with information about those that are connected and their status. The High PoE high power output allows up to 16 PoE cameras to be connected.
In addition, it uses applications such as AXIS IP Utility that detects and displays Axis devices that are connected to the network. It is also used to manually set a static IP address and to access the home page of the drive in order to make other configurations. On the other hand, the switch allows you to use AXIS Camera Management, a powerful and efficient installation and management application, designed especially for use with Axis network video products. Through standardized network methods and protocols, the tool can detect, automatically configure devices, define IP addresses, display connection status, restore and back up camera configurations, and manage firmware updates of different devices.
