Latin America. Tyco Security Products introduces edge-of-network video intelligence analytics for Illustra IP cameras to optimize security operations and reduce response time.
Ilustra now offers its customers with powerful IP cameras video intelligence analytics to automatically analyze captured video and notify users when certain specific movements have been detected. The new intelligence analytics alert operators to key events that require immediate attention in protecting perimeters at airports and monitoring critical infrastructure and providing additional information for day-to-day operations, such as monitoring crowds in retail stores. For example, if a line is forming in the wrong direction or if an abandoned bag has been left in a restricted area for a certain period, the system will notify operators immediately so that they can take the necessary measures.
Available for the 2-, 3- and 5-megapixel Illustra Pro IP minidome series, Illustra's video intelligence analytics automatically detect alarms in the event of suspicious events. Through its analytics at the edge, Illustra offers an accessible solution without the need for a dedicated analytics server. These analytics are easily integrated with American Dynamics VideoEdge network video recorders and victor and exacqVision video management systems.

Illustra intelligence analytics have nine rule options:
- Removed object: Identifies objects that were removed from a specific region.
- Marauding: It automatically detects the presence of marauders in an area for a configurable period of time.
- Abandoned object: Discover objects that have been left unattended for a certain predefined period of time.
- Input/Output: Triggers an alarm if an object or person passes through a specific detection zone.
- Formation of agglomerations: Detects the meeting of a specific number of people in a defined space.
- Permanence: Alerts users if an object or person has remained in the same place for a significant amount of time.
Users can activate and save video intelligence analytics rules easily through the Illustra camera's settings page. They can also assign a specific name to each analytical rule and easily mark the area you want to monitor.
