International. Taking into account the growing needs to implement video security in situations such as natural disasters, rescue missions, counterterrorism or military nature, Hikvision created the UAV-MX 4080A Falcon Series Drone.
The operation of this equipment is carried out by means of a signal control that manages the direction of the aerial vehicle up to 2km away. In addition, it transmits the HD video to a ground station that can be installed up to 10km away, meaning it can fly in lengths no greater than 10,000 meters around the ground station. In turn, the station transmits via 4G or cable the video information to the customer's monitoring center.
The one-key operation design allows inexperienced people to efficiently operate the UAV after a short training period. The drone can reach a maximum speed in flight of 80km/h and supports link to maps. In addition, it was designed with the aim of preventing human beings from making reconnaissance of unsafe, dangerous areas or that put their physical integrity at risk.
The equipment incorporates image stabilization and in-flight stabilization technology to achieve greater sharpness; It has among other features with detachable arms for uninstallation and quick installation, high density battery to provide maximum flight time of up to 33 minutes, carbon fiber structure with high intensity and light weight, in addition to built-in GPS module to locate the flight position in real time. To this is added that its PTZ camera is high definition with variable focal length, optical zoom of 30X and 12X digital zoom and with support for rotating, rotating and panning movements.
For its part, the ground station of these equipment allows the real-time review and visualization of flight data, the transmission of images in digital microwaves and is connectable to the network via 4G, Wi-Fi or network interface
"Hikvision designed the drone, like all its equipment, with the idea of making the security solutions it offers more efficient. The MX4080A UAV, in addition to being a very efficient product in itself, facilitates tasks that would otherwise be impossible to perform or would involve enormous economic and human expenses, "says José García, marketing manager of Hikvision Latin America.
Although so far in Latin America there are no projects in which Hikvision's MX4080A UAV has been used, the drone is already being evaluated by several government and law enforcement agencies in countries such as Colombia, Brazil and Mexico.
According to José García, "in a citizen security project, a Hikvision drone can efficiently complement surveillance in areas where the location of traditional cameras is difficult or images with a wide angle of vision are required, such as a square, the top of a building or a vehicular bridge."
Additionally, the Hikvision Drone incorporates a 30X optical zoom that allows quick approaches, a feature that can complement, for example, the work of cameras and traffic detectors in the identification of vehicles that violate traffic regulations.
Finally, the MX4080A UAV is capable of providing added value to security systems in applications near maritime areas or bodies of water where it is difficult to install surveillance equipment.
