International. NVT Phybridge announced its latest innovation in long-range PoE switches. The FLEX switch, which is part of NVT Phybridge's CHARIoT series, has been designed to help customers transform existing 2- or 4-pair UTP infrastructures into IP networks that are powered and provide connectivity to IoT (Internet of Things) endpoint devices and to meet long-range requirements in new buildings.
FLEX transmits high-speed Ethernet and UPoE (50 watts) over a 2- or 4-pair UTP infrastructure with a range of 1,640 feet (500m) and can be used for all IP endpoint devices that require high-speed, high-power Ethernet connectivity. The 24-port managed FLEX switch and FLEX extenders are currently available.
NVT Phybridge's CHARIoT series – which includes PoLRE, CLEER and FLEX switches – helps customers migrate from their existing infrastructures to IP infrastructures, quickly, economically and without sacrificing security. NVT Phybridge's CHARIoT series removes infrastructure barriers by offering:
Greater reach
- Range 4-6 times greater than conventional PoE switches through a single pair of UTP (twisted pair without shielding), coaxial or UTP of 2 and 4 pairs.
- Extends your LAN with powered IP connections.
Power amplification
- Allows the flexibility to use AC or DC power sources with the same switch.
- Offers low levels of energy consumption (with power distribution and load balancing functions)
Robust management
- Easy-to-use graphical user interface
- Easy to configure, manage and repair when network problems arise.
Hundreds of schools, hospitals, hotels, retailers and government entities at all levels have employed the award-winning CHARIoT switches to save money and eliminate risk.
