Latin America. WiseNet Lite cameras, recently introduced in Latin America, are the new bet of Samsung Techwin Latin America, a leading global supplier of video surveillance and security products, to offer the highest quality video for multiple applications, at a competitive cost.
The cameras of this new line are the "light" version of the renowned high-end WiseNet III cameras from Samsung Techwin, and has eleven models between minidomes and bullets of 2 megapixels and 1.3 megapixels, which can be purchased at an affordable price for medium and small applications, such as SMEs, offices or residences.
"Our cutting-edge WiseNet 3 technology has allowed us to create a slightly simpler solution that offers the same video quality as other high-end devices, at low cost, which allows greater market penetration," says Pedro Duarte, Vice President of Sales of Samsung Techwin Latin America, who adds that being able to offer high quality equipment at a competitive price "opens for Samsung Techwin a new market segment, like SMEs, which seeks this type of solutions to meet their security needs".
Among the most outstanding features of the WiseNet Lite line is the "corridor view", for monitoring narrow spaces such as corridors or tunnels and motion detection software, "in addition to infrared sensors with a range of up to 20 meters and their outdoor versions are certified with IP66 (weather protection) and IK10 (anti-vandalism)", says Alex Pazos, Director of Business Development at Samsung Techwin Latin America.
In turn, Oswaldo Lafee, Marketing Manager for Latin America of Samsung Techwin, highlights that "the market trend, like all technology that is massified, is that the acquisition barrier will be increasingly lower", and the purpose of this new line of cameras is "to serve the market with the same very high quality as we traditionally do, both to the channels and to end customers".
Lafee adds that the company has made "a great effort to deliver to the market a product of higher quality than that of other brands in this segment, fully compatible with Samsung's Video Management Software (VMS), added to our support and guarantees. It is not the same to sign up and buy cameras from unknown manufacturers than to buy Samsung, "he says.
Video surveillance as part of everyday life
As part of the #TúEresLaCámara strategy to bring CCTV closer to end users and make it part of their day to day, Samsung Techwin created in turn the IP Kits designed to simplify a security solution to those end users who do not require high technical sophistication but need to protect their most valuable assets, such as the SME and residential segments.
These are packages that contain 4-channel recorders and 3 cameras (2 HD dome cameras and 1 5-megapixel 360° fisheye); 4 channels and 4 HD dome cameras; 8 channels and 6 HD dome cameras and 16 channels with 12 HD dome cameras, all with IR.
In this regard, Lafee explains that "the kits are designed to make life easier for this segment of customers. In them you will find everything you need to install: cameras, IP recorder, even cables." Thus, any user of a small commercial premises or a home can acquire one of these kits to install it quickly, without specific technical knowledge.
"#TúEresLaCámara illustrates a world where security is humanized and touches us all everywhere everywhere, and these kits are one of the vehicles that Samsung Techwin offers to this market for the materialization of that notion of security at all levels," concludes Lafee.
